But this town still has a long ways to go, politically and socially. A friend of mine, who is a sociologist, alerted me to the urgency of an upcoming\u00a0election in which Eyon Biddle and Jose Perez\u00a0are challenging long-time Common Council\u00a0incumbents. I&#8217;m in no position to make an informed endorsement but moveon.org is backing them.
